WeSave Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may change from time to time, so please check back periodically. Except as limited below, we reserve the right to use and/or disclose your personally identifiable information for business reasons in whatever manner desired. All information collected from and provided by you will be shared with WeSave's affiliated companies, and all successors and assigns thereto. This Privacy Policy will explain the following regarding the use of our Site and Apps:

1. What Information Does WeSave Collect from You?

1.1. Personally Identifiable Information (PII): This refers to information that lets us know the specifics of who you are. Personal information is requested in many ways, for example, when you register and set up an Account, post on the WeSave Site and Apps, utilize a feature or service, register a payment card, fill out surveys, and send us feedback. This information might include your name, billing address, shipping address, Facebook ID, telephone number, e-mail address, credit card or other payment information, and product details. For some third-party services, we may collect your personal information on behalf of these service providers and share it with them.

1.2. Non-Personally Identifiable Information (NPII): This refers to information that does not by itself identify a specific individual. We gather certain information about you based upon where you visit on, and how you use our Site in several ways. This information is compiled and analyzed on both a personal and an aggregated basis. This information may include gender, geographic location, genres, categories, and Sellers you interact with, the website's Uniform Resource Locator (URL) that you just came from, which URL you next go to, what browser you are using, cookies, device information, your Internet Protocol (IP) address, and NPII third party information passed to us from your third-party registration on WeSave (e.g., from Facebook login when applicable).

2. Where Do We Collect Information from You and How Do We Use It?

2.1. Use of the Site, Apps, and Services Generally: We collect IP addresses, cookies, and device and usage data for system administration purposes, to gather broad demographic information, enable ads to be

served on our Site and Apps, and to report NPII to our advertisers and Sellers on WeSave whose storefront you have visited, and to monitor the level of activity on our Site and Apps.

2.2. Uploading Content: We track all aspects of the upload process to monitor and improve our uploading process. This information includes the file name, attributes, and contents of the uploaded file.

2.3. Action Tags/Web Beacons: We may use and allow others to use action tags or web beacons in the operation of our Site and Apps. NPII is shared with Sellers on WeSave with respect to your visits to their storefronts, and PII may be transferred to a Seller based on your agreement to share such information when engaging in a transaction with a Seller.

3. Who Is Collecting Your Information?

3.1. Ad Servers and Content Servers: We may use third-party ad servers or content servers to serve ads, product information, or other information both on and off our Site and Apps. They may use "action tags" or web beacons to count the number of visitors who click on a banner ad or other information and to track the number of customers who continue on to make a purchase. They may also place their own "cookie" on your computer.

3.2. Image Servers: We may use a third-party image serving company to serve the graphics that visitors see on our Site and Apps more quickly. They collect a visitor's IP address and the URLs of any graphics viewed and the date and time of the visit.

3.3. Email Services: We may use a third-party service provider to send promotional and other emails to customers. Images contained in the email may be served by the third party.

3.4. Website and App Analysis Agents: We may contract with several online partners to help manage and optimize our Internet business and marketing. We use the services of marketing companies to help us measure the effectiveness of our advertising and how visitors use our Site and Apps.

3.5. Financing Services: When applicable, we may use a third-party bank to provide a credit card and financing to customers who desire it.

3.6. General Provision of Services and Site Operations: We contract with third-party service providers to operate many of our Site and App functions.

3.7. Links and Banner Ads to Third-Party Sites: Our Site and Apps contain links to sites on the Internet that are owned and operated by third parties. The information practices of those websites linking from or to our Site or App are not covered by this Privacy Policy.

4. With Whom Do We Share Your Information?

4.1. Other WeSave Members, Vendors and Site Visitors: Your profile information and all postings (which may include your content, your name, and any other information you post or allow to be shared with other Members, Vendors and visitors) are displayed to people to facilitate user interaction.

4.2. Sellers on WeSave: All NPII associated with your visits and use of a Seller’s storefront is shared with Sellers on WeSave, and PII may be transferred to a Seller based on your agreement to share such information when uploading or engaging within the Site and/or Apps.

4.3. Payment Processing: We disclose your PII to third-party payment processors to facilitate your purchases on the Site and/or Apps.

4.4. Other Parties Generally: We may provide NPII about our customers to third parties, including aggregated statistical information which does not include any PII. We may release account information when we believe that such release is reasonably necessary to enforce or apply our Terms of Use or to protect the rights, property, and safety of WeSave, our Members, Vendors, visitors, or others.

4.5. Data Analysis Agents: The information collected by or for WeSave may be provided to an outside company for the purpose of analysis.

4.6. Ad & Content Servers, Advertisers, Image Servers, and Website & App Analysis Agents: These third parties use their cookies' identification numbers and internal website and app tracking features to serve ads on our Site and/or Apps and to collect aggregated information to create statistics about our customers and visitors, traffic patterns, and related Site and App information.

4.7. Compliance with Service of Process or Law Enforcement: Occasionally, WeSave may be asked by law enforcement or judicial authorities to provide PII to the appropriate governmental authorities. We will disclose PII upon receipt of a court order, subpoena, or to cooperate with a law enforcement investigation, without notice to you.

4.8. Sale of the Company or Assets: WeSave and its affiliated companies each reserve the right to disclose and transfer your PII in the event that any such company is sold, in whole or in part, either as an entire corporate entity or through an asset sale that includes a customer information database.

5. How Can You Update or Correct Your Personally Identifiable Information?

5.1. You may modify any of your personal information in your Member Account or Vendor Account online Dashboard at any time, provided that any such edits are fully accurate. We encourage you to promptly update your Profile Information if it changes. For information on deleting your information and data, please contact us at help@wesave.com.

6. What Are Your Choices Regarding Collection, Use, and Distribution of Your Information?

6.1. The Site and/or Apps may contain configuration settings that can be set to configure information usage. You may also set your browser so that it will not accept "cookies" to prevent assignment from the ad server of a unique identifier; however, you may experience difficulty using the features and services on the WeSave Site and/or Apps, shopping on any merchant site, and performing other transactions if you do so.

7. What Security Precautions Are in Place to Protect Against the Loss, Misuse, or Alteration of Your Information?

7.1. We take steps to help protect the confidentiality and security of personal information you share with us through our Site and mobile Apps. In general, information transmitted through the Internet may not be perfectly secure, and we are unable to guarantee the security of your personal information.

7.2. We encourage you to take steps to help protect the confidentiality and security of your Account and personal information, including by doing the following:

  • Reviewing your Account periodically and immediately reporting any unexpected activity or unrecognized information.
  • Installing the latest security updates and anti-virus software on your computer to help prevent malware and viruses.
  • Using complex passwords.
  • Not using the same password on more than one account.
  • Not sharing your password with others.
  • Password protecting your computer and mobile device.
  • Signing out/logging off of website sessions so that your session is closed, especially when using a public computer.

8. A Special Note About Children's Privacy

8.1. Our policy is that we do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose PII about visitors under 13 years of age. If you are the parent or guardian of a child under 13 years of age and believe that they have disclosed personally identifiable information to us, please contact us at privacy@wesave.com so that we may delete the child's information.

9. WeSave and Third-Party Use of "Cookies" and "Action Tags"

9.1. WeSave Cookies: When you use our Site and Apps, we will store cookies on your computer and/or phone to facilitate and customize your use of our Site, the Apps, and to facilitate attribution tracking for various rewards and features. Our cookies store things like randomly assigned user identification numbers, the country where you are located, and your name and profile image location to welcome you back to our Site and Apps and to facilitate attribution tracking as described.

9.2. Other Companies That May Use Cookies:

  • Ad Server and Content Server Providers
  • Email Server Providers
  • Image Server Providers
  • Website and App Analysis Agents

10. Carefully Review Privacy Policies of Any Third-Party Sites

10.1. Other sites accessible through our Site have their own privacy policies and data collection, use, and disclosure practices. Please consult each website's privacy policy. WeSave is not responsible for the policies or practices of third parties. These other websites may send their own cookies to users, collect data, or solicit personal information. You should contact these advertisers directly if you have any questions about their use of the information that they collect.

11. Residents of Certain U.S. States

11.1. California: California law entitles residents to ask us for a notice describing what categories of personal information we share with third parties for the third parties' direct marketing purposes. Unless you request us to or consent to us doing so, WeSave does not sell any personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. California law also provides residents with rights to request access to and deletion of certain personal information, to know whether personal information is shared, and to opt-out of the "sale" of personal information. California law currently defines "personal information" broadly as information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual or household. To make any of the foregoing requests, contact us using the contact details referred to in the “Contact Us” section of this Privacy Policy.
